This prep table has faux panel construction – the enclosed part is built with plywood panels glued or screwed to posts, and false rails are glued on top. The open part is true rails pocket-screwed to posts, top and bottom.

Top, rails and drawer faces are made with birch, the box and adjustable shelf made with edge banded birch plywood.

The finish for the bottom is Espresso gel stain from the Old Masters, the top is tung oil. Both are top-coated with satin wipe-on poly.

This is very nice set of wheels – the brake locks both rotation and swivel motion, it is inexpensive and very well built.
