Just finished our kitchen Island countertop with several coats of Clark’s butcher block oil, and a coat of Carnuba and beeswax. Happy wife happy life.

Update:
There are two 36” cabinets underneath this countertop island, and a bookshelf at the other end.
Both cabinets

have full extension slides on them.
