This mountain climber figure was carved in a 2” diameter x 6-1/2” aspen limb. The in-the-round figure is standing on some unnamed summit with his coil of rope. Around the base are the names of 18 peaks climbed the previous year. Aspen wood, no finish, food coloring on names

This is as close as I’ve gotten to carving caricatures.
