Last week it was school holiday, and my neighbours daughter asked me if she may make something with me in the shop. I mostly make my wooden models of waste material, but my neighbours daughter is very creative and able to make something of my waste material. She starrted with a bench with what see found in the trash. Also the TV parts where out of that trash. I helped her with the chairs and table. I did the the sawing work and she did rotating the drill press handle, and hammered the legs in chairs and table. As a little gift for here I made a standing lamp. We had some pleasant hours together.

Thanks for watching

BTW: She appreciates your comments very much!

Great to have had that experience. I imagine it goes both ways. So many people who become creative with wood, or any material say they had one or more experiences when young, enjoyed it, and wanted to keep creating. You may be starting her on a life path.

Thanks for posting.

Cute… potential for being the next Loenardo De Woodchip!

PS. Did the teachers give YOU any homework while not at school?

First class result Dutch and top marks for sharing the love of working with timber with a youngster…
We must pass on our passion to the younger generation to ensure the enjoyment of creating in timber isn’t lost!
