Just finished this small cedar box for my wife Jane. I had fun doing this one.

Thanks to MamaBogie for the wood. Told you I would make something out of it some day!

Beautiful little gem. Is the knot (and other type) laser engraved?

Pete,

This is a great little box! What is it, 3”x2” or so?

Did you put wax on it, or something else?

Looks like the perfect size to store a few small valuables in.

It’s about that size. I wanted to see how the CNC router did with the pocket and the engraving. I used salad bowl – cutting board finish on it as it was easy and quick.

I’m working on my complex band saw box today too. As well as 7 other projects that have to be done by the 25th. You’re keeping me motivated with your box blog.

Good old SBF to the rescue. It is easy and quick and turned out well here.

I don’t have 7-projects going right now, but I do have about that many to either finish or begin work on and have completed by the 25th as well. Several of them have to be ready to ship out by this weekend, while a few are staying local, so I’ll have until the 25th to finish those.

Keep going Pete, you’ll make it! And if I’m helping in any little way, that’s great. I’ll try to post at least one more blog about the box tonight. I just got home from helping my brother… took several hours longer than we planned, as it always does.
