plantation shutters made using the rockler system of jigs and software.i used the recommended bass wood and designed using their online software which is extremely easy to use, just enter your dimensions and it gives you a set of drawings and a cut list and all the parts you need.they call for dowels but i used the festool domino.i went with 2-1/2’” louvers and hidden control arms.i highly recommend this system for its ease of use.i pre painted all the parts prior to assembly.wife seems happy, and thats not easy!

Very nice work. I made a bunch of them myself last and I know the tall windows offer a new challenge. Great call on applying the finish before assembly. I found it was very hard to get an acceptable finish on assembled ones and took the same action you did.
