Very nice. I once finished an attic with a dormer in Dogtown, St. Louis, MO, and after I framed in the 3’ knee walls, they wanted them taller (4’). They didn’t understand that taller meant longer 2×4’s and that it wasn’t in the original bid to frame the room twice (also you can’t get two 4’ wall studs out of an 8 footer). The 5’ dresser had to sit a foot away from the wall to clear the ceiling (great planning). Short story long, we finished the job and at least they were happy.

Great idea for that spot. Good way to add the storage.

My brother in law has the exact same setup and is in the process of renovating. I’m going to send him these pics. This is a great way to use this space.

Nice.. I like this… Might hijack it for my home, though my converted attic is not nearly this narrow.
I’m considering punching through the knee wall in ours [which is about 4’ high] and installing cabinets and drawers into it. The current “closet” that someone did sucks location wise.

Thanks everyone, Rex and Scott I hope the design works for you, when I started she was thinking a single closet on the other end of the room next to the door. So i scetched it up and after thinking about it , I scetched up what I thought would look better and be more functional. presented both to her,,I was pleased when she picked this.

What a nice outcome! These will do well especially that there is only a limited space in the room. More closet ideas can be found here http://www.closetsnbeyond.com

That looks very nice and well thought out. I wish the picture was a little lighter.
