Made a couple small boxes for a friend who wanted to gift a couple friends. Made a third – cuz if you’re making one, a couple more doesn’t add much more time and effort.

Walnut & maple. Walnut box is 3×3x6 w/ 4×6 top. The walnut was an ugly board sitting in scrapes, had chain saw marks and lots of grub on it. Thickness sanded to 1/4” and brought out some beautiful grain. Love the contrast of the heartwood and sapwood. Routed maple ogee edge on top and bottom.

Laser work Was her message to her friends.

Nice boxes. Might as well make more while you have the set up in the machines!!

Cheers, Jim

Nicely done. And a good way to solidify friendships.

Agreed make one, or 10, almost the same amount of work. Nice boxes.

Thanks for sharing.

Rod, nice project. I like the inscription she chose. A box has far more uses than a plaque. Thanks for sharing.
