this is my parents’ christmas present (they already know). they currenty have one from the big box store that’s pine. it’s falling part and has wasps in the frame. this is built to last a little longer. the A-frame and swing frame are 6/4 oak and the slats are 4/4. the top board is 8/4×6”, it’s actually ash. i thought it was oak until i planed it down. i used it anyway, i figured they look similar enough.

i just took the one to show my parents now that it’s finished. mom asked that i post it on here so she can show it off to her friends.
i’ll take some close ups tomorrow when there’s light. is the anything specific you want to see on it?
