This is a bandsaw box that i made for a school woods assignment. We started with a 4×4 chunk of cedar and at which i kept the same shape of the chunk of cedar. I kept the rectangle shape and made the drawer come out the long way so the drawer would have a better use. I made it simple, but i think it looks nice. For a finish i just applied a few coats of tung oil, which brought out the true color of the wood. I like the original color and thought with it brightened out it would look “outdoorsy”.

looks good, I use Tung oil often. You might consider a coat or two of wipe on poly after you are finished with the tung oil. It will help make the finish a little smoother and more durable.

Often the simple designs are the best, you’ve done well.
