Body – Hard maple
Lid – Plywood core/maple banding (to address wood movement concerns), & sapele handle

Joinery – Mitred dovetails and decorative spacing

Impressive box. My hand tools should have it so good. Mine all live in a sock. Not one sock mind you, each tool has it’s own sock.

Thanks for posting.

Great case, and I like seeing the mitre jack.

I’m always impressed by you hand tool guys and the quality and beauty of the projects. This is no exception. Great looking box for an impressive hand tool that I would have no idea how to use.

Nice box.

One day I hope to build such a nice box for mine… but as of now it will have to remain in the box in Lee Valley’s warehouse until I can afford to send it home.

Nicely done. I’ve been happy with the factory box, but I got that as a freebie for pre-ordering, and it’s definitely not as sharp-looking as yours.

That’s a purdy one.

Nice tight joinery.

Fabulous work with hand tools. Great job.

Looks like a nice miter jack. I guess you made that too?
