This was made from a tree that fell outside my house. Chainsawed the boards 2 years ago and let air dry inside. Pretty simple, but wanted to give the little bandsaw a whirl that I picked up the other day.

Bandsaw boxes are so much fun and I like the design of this one! Also like how you divided the drawer. Very nice work, what kind of tree was it that fell?

Thanks all,

IT was an oak of some sort. Have a lot of wetlands here, and this tree is everywhere, very hard, and very difficult to cut. Had a time trying to mill it. I added a picture of the down tree as I was getting ready to make my first cut. Around here everyone calls it a swamp oak, and I didn’t have any luck with leaf identification. I believe Florence knocked a few more down back in the swamp, so as soon as the water goes down and the snakes go to sleep Ill be looking again.
