Using ideas posted by McLeanVA, I have completed my first 2 boards following his steps. The third one, shown in the middle photo above, is an attempt to get a varied design, getting away from the traditional End-Grain Patterns

The first one has Maple, Cherry and Purple Heart with Purple Heart Border, ; the second one – Ash, Teak, Walnut and Cherry with an Ash Border; the third one – Ash, Walnut and Purple Heart, with Purple Heart Border

Ha! You better believe it!

For me, with a significant disability when it comes to two and three dimensions, I have two other boards that were SUPPOSED TO FOLLOW the instructions. I thought I did, but, man, when I finished a had some really cute, but not very dynamic, boards.

I am going to try another one next week. I DID get 2 of them done correctly, so I just have to revisit that vision!!
