This is a walnut coat rack I made for our entry way. It is about 42” long and 7” deep. All pieces are about 7/8” thick.
It is assembled with a combination of dowels and Kreg Pocket Hole Screws. It is finished with dark walnut danish oil and 3 coats of GF Arm-R Seal. We picked out the baskets BEFORE final dimensioning to get a good fit. Hope you like it.

two thumbs up! I was wondering how you found baskets that fit so perfectly. now I see you had them before you dimensioned your project. sort of the chicken before the egg thing. well done.l

Mike,

That is one stellar job you did on making the coat rack….! It looks really good, and a smart move to have the baskets before the build….What will you use the baskets for..? Stored items, just d├ęcor, etc….? As always, you ‘ve turned out another beautiful piece of furniture….Well done, my friend….!!

Very nice job on the coat rack. I like the design. I may have to copy that for future reference.
