I am building a small table for a cousin who is an avid hunter. Since this table will be somewhat exposed to the elements I decided to use Florida Cypress which is pretty rot resistant. The table has been sealed and I am ready to finish with five coats of spar varnish. The deer head was hand carved and and highlighted with dark walnut stain and a wood burner. Thanks to all the jocks here for inspiration and support.
