Lampshade - naw, it's still a bowl

On my last bowl somebody mentioned that perhaps lampshades were next. I don’t think I want to make lampshades “YET” but this could be close.
This particular bowl is starting at the top, walnut, resin and hickory. I’m pleased with the end result but perhaps I should have either used hickory throughout or walnut throughout. I’m sure I’ll soon find out which combo will look best.
Again, this was a first for me and there’s no doubt it will not be the last.
Here’s the blank just prior to the RM

and my first picture with the kitchen fan light and my wife’s fingers showing thru

Thanks for looking and let me know if I’m headed in the right direction or not

John, I think I’m gonna stick to bowls, I’m having more fun than most people are allowed to have. Besides, I still have things running thru my head ( I’m talking about bowl designs ) lol

Don’t start with me – I’ve seen your projects and you’re at minimum half a dozen steps ahead of me.

all your bowls are exceptional. New winter project idea as I made a unit that attaches to my lathe to work like a ring master. Done a number but having trouble getting the right angle.
