Probably need to spend some time on the back roads of Kentucky, and Tennessee. Lots of Ky Coffee tree down there, they are usually runts though and don’t compete well with the larger species, so yes, good lumber may be hard to find, but if I need some I usually get it within a day or 3.

I really like the pottery, is the plank CNC’d out so it sits in, or just sits on? Sits in = $$$$$ if you are making to sell

I understand the tree is abundant in some places but the lumber is indeed hard to find. My sawyer has only been able to get it in very limited quantities. Should I remove “rare”?

It sits on the board. Customer requested full use of that side of the board so no pocket was made.

The trees aren’t, but rare to find one wide enough to make a full chip cutting board on is fairly rare, seeing the live edge it’s a nice Ky Coffee tree, and probably could be considered rare to scare pretty easy.
