Picture frame in the Greene and Greene style. Rendered in cherry with gabon ebony inserts. Finished with shellac, then waxed. Adapted from a Fine Woodworking magazine design by Kelly Dunton.

The photo depicts an early 20th century crankshaft factory, probably at the Ford Motor Company. We found it at an art fair.

Looks very very nice. I like the cloud lifts and the face carvings to emphasize the details. Well executed.

Thanks much. I used a 5/35 carving gouge on the cloud lift transition points. It is delicate work to ensure you don’t push right through the edge.
