This table is named after a valley on Mars mainly because of its colors. The red and brown combo led me to think of nothing but the red planet.
The top is solid Paduk and the aprons and legs solid Walnut.
There is a heavy taper to the legs making it slim and elegant.
It is full mortise and tennon construction.
The finish is a coat of danish oil, 3 coats of wipe on poly rubbed out with steel wool and then finaly one coat of paste finish wax.
I would like to thank Minwax for there help on the project with amazing finishing products.

You can’t miss a piece made from Padauk. That’s for sure. I like the taper of the legs too. Nice job.
