House of Cards: Fallingwater by Frank Lloyd Wright.
One of my college classes was a two dimensional design class. Our last project was to make 9 “cards” in two dimensions and then assemble them into a three dimensional project.
I used leftover, or salvaged 1” flooring that was in my grandparents house when it was built in 1944/45. I created 5×7 frames and one 7×7 frame with simple mitered corners tacked in place with a finishing nail. Lots of pilot holes so not to split the flooring. I will admit my species identification is weak, but I think it is oak, but don’t quote me on that.
The images were printed on transparency film on my inkjet and double sided taped to the frames.
Not a scale or perfect replica, but I like it!
