Our neighbors had some outdoor Halloween decorations like this last year, and my wife Cindy really liked them, so she asked if we could make some for us this year. We ended up making 3 sets. I cut them out with a jigsaw, and she did all the work, caulked the edges, primed and painted them, and added the faces. i sprayed some poly on them to make them weather proof, at least a little. It was a fun project, and we enjoyed doing it together. Her mother and our daughters were the recipients of the extra sets we made. That’s her in picture 6.

Made from the cheapest 3/4 plywood I can find, about 22.00/sheet at the big blue store. (23/32), but we put acrylic caulk on the edges and primed it with exterior paint before coating it with color. I have found that treated ply has a lot of gaps in it requiring a lot of repair/sealing, so I don’t like it for these projects. Thanks for all the nice comments! :)

That should work fine. Guess they aren’t really spending that much time outdoors and you have it pretty well protected.

Awesome! But, I see that one of the ghost’s has 5 fingers while the other has four. Is the one coming out of the tree a different species, or was it maybe in a table saw accident in his or her previous life :) ?

You made me look, but he’s got 5 fingers on each hand, unless my eyes are shot. I think ghosts can grow fingers back, like starfish re-grow arms.
