Have built several surrounds of this style for clients. Usually a favorite when I show them pictures of previous builds. Mostly constructed of poplar and mdf. Sprayed with a pigmented lacquer. Also installed the black granite tile.

That looks good. I really like the top trim build up. Lacquers are great. That is the only way to go.

I like the clean lines. Everything is pro. Again, a very nice job.
-- I've never seen a tree that I wouldn't like to repurpose into a project. I love the smell of wood in the morning - it smells like victory.
