This Entertainment Center is approx 7’ 4” wide x 6’ 6” tall. The center cabinet is approx 42 1/8” wide and 24” deep and will hold a 42” LCD HDTV. This unit was made in six sections. I made all the raised panels for the doors and outside panels of the bottom cabinets and the face frame from Cherry. The case sides facing the center cabinet was made from Cherry ¾” Plywood and the top of the bottom section was mad from ¾” Cherry lumber core, the back of all of the cabinets was made form ¼” Cherry plywood. The bottom center cabinet has unique pullout equipment shelves that can be adjusted and rotate 360° so that you can get to the back to connect wires behind audio equipment. I used two hockey puck lights with remote and computer controlled (X-10) dimmer in each of the end cabinets for down lighting. There are also two120 volts outlets with remote (computer controlled X-10) dimmer mounted in the back of shelf that separates the top and bottom side sections. The finish is M. L. Campbell WoodSong II Rich Cherry wiping stain, then one coat of M. L. Campbell Quick Build Lacquer sanding sealer then two coats of M. L. Campbell Quick Build lacquer Satin. I spent about a total of 400 hours in the design and construction.

Nice to be able to add the first comment to a great looking entertainment center, yeah I’m impressed. Is this in the same room as the fireplace?

Awesome cabinet. I like your innovation with the slide out cabinet for doing cabling. Very good idea.
