Finished up the Toys and Joys Semi using walnut and oak, putting a Danish oil finish to make the wood pop.
When I was building the wheels for this project I went ahead and made the wheels for a trailer but still haven’t made up my mind on which one to build.
I’ve already made one lowboy and sure love it and another wouldn’t hurt my feelings but I have the plans for the belly dump trailer but it’s nearly 3 foot long so have been holding off on that one. lol

You all know how I always have to build a cattle car for my trains well one for this truck could be interesting and a scratch build to boot, but probable wouldn’t be much shorter than the Belly dump.

Here's the blog on this build.

Here’s two videos of the truck but sorry they don’t call me the shakiest hands in the south for nothing. lol

PS—you may want to turn you sound off for this I forgot to turn the air conditioner off.
I’m still a new bee at making videos.

Wow, really beautiful work. That walnut on the hood really pops and that is a nicely done bottom side.

Great looking truck. Belly dump would look good behind it.

SouthavenToyMaker That’s why I love this site there’s always great new at least to me ideas to add to my projects.
That motor you posted got me and Crowie into building one and I’ve got the parts for two more, just need a place to put them.
And Northwest29 my wife said the same thing about the hood and that was before I oiled it. lol

Cab is FANTASTIC!
Give it that windmill section transport trailer with 30 wheels and rear wheel remote steering—then it will take up 2/3 of the room!

Oh; then you would have to also make the pilot car and the follow one that actually steers the rear axle around turns too. Would really make a set. You could find and paint some pipe for the tower section.

Leave the sound just as it is, I was waiting for a tap of the trottle and seeing the stacks roll coal!

BTW just how do you get htl out of Bruce Miller?
