Children's Wash Stand

I built this child-size wash stand for a classroom my wife is putting together. I guess it’s to teach the children practical life skills. It’s made entirely of birch. I am pretty proud of it, because I made my first hand-cut dovetails on it, and they turned out just fine. It also has no mechanical fasteners. It’s all joinery and wood glue. Since it’s a wash stand and will inevitably get wet, I used Titebond III waterproof glue. I also put a nice 4 coats of polyurethane on to try to fend off the effects of water as best as possible.

Your detail and build are excellent.

I have seen these in East Africa where there is no running water. I assume this is not going to a classroom in Africa?
