The other day I made a crude box out of some weird plywood from the scrap bin that looks to have something like OSB for the core. I used plain old butt joints held together with glue and screws, so there were a lot of exposed edges that were actually kind of interesting because of the weird plywood.

So what would happen if we exposed those plywood edges on purpose instead of by accident? Something like this little picture frame, maybe.

I gotta get a piece of real OSB now to see if it has all the neat light and dark streaks like this plywood does.
