This is my version of WIL E COYOTE’S surprise present for Road Runner, unashamedly copied from the cranesgonewild version. It is practically identical to Glen’s version, as it was easy to use the dimensions that he had so thoughtfully provided – Thanks, Glen. I also used dowels to fix the sticks together, but resorted to screws to hold them to the base, and another to fix the clock plate. I was so pleased to find that the length of oven supply cable that I had kept for the last twenty or thirty years (‘it might be useful, someday’) was ideal to provide the wires, as red and black were more ‘right’ than the blue and brown colours that we use today in the UK.

I started off intending to undercut the ends of the dynamite sticks to simulate folded-over cardboard tubes, but decided that was ‘gilding the lily’. What I did do, however, was to make a decal for the ‘ACME Supplies Company’ which I think gives a touch of authenticity.

As a “Roadrunner” fan—Both the cartoon and the wild ride, I think it is neat!

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

I LOVE THIS!!! This project just jumped way up to the front of my list. That includes being in front of my wife’s end tables. She’ll be contacting you shortly. :-)
