THIS IS THE CORNER CABINET I JUST FINISHED.
THE IDEA CAME OUT OF THE JC PENNEY CATALOG, THEY HAVE THEM IN RED OR WHITE. SINCE THESE COLORS DON’T WORK I BUILT MY OWN USING THIER DIMENSIONS.
IT MATCHES THE WALL HANGING HUTCH THAT I BUILT ABOUT A YEAR AGO.

ALL SOLID OAK WITH BEAD-BOARD BACKS AND THE INSERT IN THE DOOR.
I, BEING A BIT CHEAP, WAS NOT GOING TO PAY WHAT THEY WANTED FOR OAK BEAD BOARD SO I MADE MY OWN OUT OF 1/4” OAK PLY AND A V GROOVE ROUTER BIT.

THIS IS MY FIRST PROJECT USING THE KREIG POCKET HOLE SYSTEM (I KNOW IT HAS BEEN AROUND A WHILE BUT C’MON I LIVE IN IDAHO).
THERE IS ONE GOOF AND THAT IS I LIKE TO MAKE THE SIDE RAILS ON THE DOOR COME TO THE TOP AND BOTTOM OF THE DOOR, BUT SOMEHOW THESE CAME OUT ABOUT 3/16” SHORT OH WELL…NEXT TIME….MEASURE THREE TIMES, CUT ONCE!!

THE CAMERA FLASH MAKES THE INLAY A BIT OBVIOUS.
IN THE NATURAL LIGHT IT IS MORE DISCRETE.

Hi Ray,

This is a nice cabinet. Your finishing process looks good as well.

As for the “goof” I don’t see any mistakes here. I see only that you were given an opportunity to add a unique detail to the piece. I like the way you added the beadboard to both the top portion of the case and the door as well.

Nice job.
