They are easy to make really. Hardest part is the painting of designs

Well stnich if your not a southerner you wouldn’t understand the pride behind the heritage ti begin with. And if you are southern and have no pride in your heritage then I pity you. In either case it’s just one of 1100’s of designs that could be done and i dont’ need your approval anyhow. If you don’t like it then just move on.

Ever make any with the Union Jack to show pride in your heritage from even further back?

Just curious.

Well said. This isn’t the first load of crap dumped on someone who honored the flag with a project, and I’m sure it won’t be the last. Heritage, not hate.

I’m sure the Charlottesville commenter also believes Antifa is opposed to hate and violence.

Ok then, have you made and proudly displayed a cornhole set with a French flag to show your pride in your French heritage?

Gents, I’m from Australia and have trouble keeping up with the times… However, I though the Civil War ended a few months ago… or maybe even la tad longer than that… If I’m wrong, I’ll have to spruik The Donald to declare a cease fire.

I suppose that if you set the 2nd. photo as the primary one, you’d get 49 species of “statesmen” (and women) bitching… maybe you chose wisely to weed out the anticipated crap!

I think some of the world is just getting a little to sensitive for just about anything that goes on. It does seem to me that a lot of the stuff ” sensitive ” people complain about, is that they really don’t know the reason they don’t like something, other than what they hear about and then take sides without really doing any research on the matter, ( design on the boards ), I am also sure there will be those that don’t like my comments on this subject, That is all fine with me, I am not the ” sensitive ” type and will just ignore the source.

I do LIKE both of the corn hole boards you made and the subject matter you used is NOT a problem with me. Actually I like the designs that you used, they are colorful and really stand out. Excellent job !!!! Mike

That’s pretty much why I was asking about displayed heritage for other points of the original poster’s past. On this subject in particular, it seems a lot of people are dubious of the heritage pride perspective of displaying the Stars and Bars because one rarely, if ever, see anyone also proudly displaying British, or French, or any other flags of their ancestry. If pride in ancestry or heritage makes senses the reason forgo heritage, those looking from outside have trouble reconciling being proud of just their civil war era ancestry, but no other. So I was curious if in this case the original poster does display his pride in his other ancestral origins.

And I do agree that people can be too sensitive in many ways. Everyone does seem to be so extreme these days that when one does ask a sincere question, the person asked can be overly-sensitive and interprete the question as being antagonist. And as a result, respond based on that assumption.

But I have thought better of it all now and regret even asking since this is not the appropriate forum for such discussions. We should all just drop it and comment on the nature of the working, ignor8ng the choice of f8nish, as you said.

Have your say...
