Two bookmatched Cherry slabs (one is turned over) I added an island in the middle from a scrap so it wouldn’t just be a big chunk of resin, I joined them together with steel rods embedded in Superior Polyester epoxy, Filled the gaps, Cracks and holes with blue tinted epoxy resin, Sanded to 220 grit then top coated with StoneCoat’s countertop resin. She didn’t want it shiny so I sanded progressively to 3000 grit and polished it to a matte finish. The legs are 1” x 3” 14 gauge steel painted matte black. Table is 44” x 72”

Nice – do you build your legs ?

On the last couple tables I cut and welded steel legs and painted them, But I didn’t have time on this one, I got them for a reasonable price from Psteelcrafts on Etsy, The shipping cost was a little steep but it was still worth it in the interest of time.

I usually do not like te river effect; HOWEVER this one really appeals!

Very pretty and a nice wood rescue too.

Nice move adding the island. There is some great character in that wood. Well done.
