Just had to try this. From the latest issue of Wood Carving Illustrated, article by Steven Kulp on carving an owl from an egg. This one stands just over 2 inches tall.

My dad does some woodcarving with a pocketknife, I really enjoy the naturalness and rawness that these types of carvings have. You did a good job, I certainly wouldn’t mind having a cute little thing like that on my shelf!
