Been playing with my lathe lately and decided to make a few Christmas gifts. These are the first few wine bottle stops that I have ever made. The only wood that I know is the Hershey Kiss one is Cocobollo. I am no way skilled with a skew and gauge yet so I am making up the design as I go.
Also been kaing pens like crazy lately for gifts and practice, anyone want to buy a pen I have a few dozen. :)
Thanks

The middle of the three wine stops appears to be Tulipwood, an excellent choice.

Their beauties Debbie. I make a lot of pens out of cocobolo. It almost always has a nice grain. One thing my customers say is that when they put the stopper in the bottle they usually smack it with the heal of their hand so the point on top isn’t good for that. Good job. Happy turning.
