This is my latest project, something that my wife wanted for a long time. Thanks to wood plans very accurate step by step easy to follow plan. this is my version in red oak. Finished with one light coat of golden pecan stain, and water based oil finished poly, 3 coats and sanded to 320 grit that is inside out, except for the top wet sanded to 400 grit.
Now she has her room for her sewing needs and I still have my shop, for the next dream, Happy wife happy life.
There is a small cabinet , designed to hold dozen of different bobins of thread. That was made some time ago.
Feel free to comment ,I pay a lot of attention to wathever you may say.
As usual , have a nice day in the shop, and keep on making saw dust.

Very nice cabinet, I made one that looks almost identical to this one. My wife loves hers also. Like you said Happy Wife Happy Life.

your are right on that one , my hardware came from Rockler, for the moment my wife has a portable sewing machine ( I made the shelf accordingly to make it fit ) but I kept the plan,,, just in case.
Thank you for the nice words.

Beautiful and very well done. I actually have all the parts (including the lift) to make this myself. I just need to complete a few things in my garage first and maybe one or two projects before I tackle this one.

That is a mighty piece!
It looks very well thought out and should prove to be very useful!

Sadly unlike others here I can’t brag about building something similar for my wife. I was an OTR trucker and begged my friend to build it for her. I ordered it out of Cherry and she loves it. It’s gotten better looking with age.

Andre your wife will cherish it, through the years. All the more because you built it for her. Very well done my friend!
