Originally in Creative Woodworks Crafts Magazine. I updated to exotic woods to make the butterfly come alive. I guess it’s Intarsia since the colors are all natural woods. I used Yellow Heart, Purple Heart, Red Heart, Cocobolo and Ebony for the top and Poplar for the box body with Aspen inserts. I have also done one of these with Mahogany in place of the Ebony. It’s a four compartment box.
