I present to you a Gaggle of Reindeer oh wait that’s a Herd of Reindeer. A person that my wife works with had one of these on their desk. She decided it was cute and ask if she could bring it home to show me so I could make some and the rest is history (although very recent history). I will be giving one each of them to my three sisters and the rest for the wife.
The one that she brought home was constructed of a length of 2×4, I used, for these, some old pallet skids that I had salvaged of poplar.
Oh hey wait a minute if I make 3 more I could enter them in the winter awards 2×4 contest!!!!!!!! They are 9 3/4” tall and cut out on the bandsaw.
Well I did make the other 3 which made a total of 9 of the little darlings….. The wood used as mentioned above was the skids from a pallet which was Poplar and totaled 8’ in length.
These do not stand up to the other 2×4 projects that are entered but none the less are made from a 8 foot 2×4.

Cute!
I can’t let my wife see this, or I’ll be making them as well.

Bandsaw’s do come in very handy… I am lucky I have three of them an 2 older Craftsmans that I use for smaller stuff and a Power Matic 14” with a 6” riser block that I use for resawing mainly.
Thank you for the complement.
