Built a porch swing for my parents 52nd this month. They’re remodeling and added on a large back porch that just begged for one. She mentioned previously wanting a white one so it was the perfect opportunity. It’s made out of Poplar using stainless steel hardware. Pretty straightforward project that came out pretty nice. Just have to hang it now.

A porch is hardly a porch without a swing, and that one sure is nice looking. It has just enough Mommy curls that she will be pleased, but not too many a Man sitting beside her would be ashamed about. Looks like a good job, just hope it’s gonna be under cover.

Thanks for posting.

Thanks Steve. Yea, this one is getting hung under a large screened in porch. I still went with stainless hardware to keep the rust at bay and a couple coats of quality exterior paint.
