I completed this build in August of 2018.

I bought the Benchcrafted hardware for this moxon vise around the same time I bought the leg vise hardware (2yrs ago). At the time I bought the wood and began working on the chops. Fast forward 2yrs, the chops were still sitting under my assembly table. I had been putting off the build for no good reason, so I finally decided to make it. The build was pretty straight forward and easy, so I won’t bore you with the details. More than anything I’m just glad is done.

Ha Luis! I ordered my Moxon components from Benchcrafted just over a year ago (I just checked and confirmed my e-mail receipt). I still have 11 months to get my done and still beat you to the punch! Great job! It looks like you used maple with a lot of nice figure and I must say that Lamb’s Tongue sure looks nice. I hope you get a lot of use out of it.

Very nice work. How much does it weigh / is it at all inconvenient to store and retrieve at that size?

Very nice looking Moxon. That’s something I’ve been thinking about.

Christopher,

I’m sorry to say but 2yrs is not the longest it’s taken me to build something. Before you know it 11 months will come and go, so you better get started.

Nice looking bench, and Moxon. After using the Moxon you will wish you hadn’t procrastinated, they are great. I often see people who have made a Moxon using all manner of hardware, and clamps, but of all the ones I have seen in person, none have been close to as smooth as that BenchCrafted hardware. Jameel has it going on.

Really nice bench, and Moxon, thanks for posting, and Congrats on your 3.

About the 11 months comment, you are so right, time flies away, and once gone it’s just gone. Do something today, you will always have that memory, what you took from the memory, and won’t have flat spots on your behind. I only say this because your comment made me smile :-)
