Step stool for high bed

I built this several years ago and only recently noticed it when we moved. We have a high bed in the guest bedroom and anyone shorter than me needs a little help in getting in.

This is cherry and is heavy. I was worried about racking and decided the best prevention would be dovetailing the back – it works, this thing is solid as a rock.

This is a wonderful step stool and displays a lot of fine craftsmanship.

Those are very handy to have on the beds with the puffed mattresses. Look very nice in Cherry too.

Thanks for posting.
