This is the dovetailed box that I demonstrate in my new blog entry:

The blog entry contains almost 40 minutes of explanations on how I cut the dovetails. From these pictures you can see more clearly the final product.
I am actually surprised the dovetails turned up so nice given the fact that I had to deal with the video shooting and not being able to focus terribly well.
When you view the pictures, keep in mind that the box is only 3 1/4” tall so the image on the screen is probably larger than the actual box. Also, the box is not glued and it holds together solely by the nature of the dovetails.

Thanks for the video. I have not given any thought to doing dovetails using jigs or by hand. Your video is very instructional and brings me one step closer to even thinking about trying this type of joinery.
