I used my Japanese pull saw to slice this log into a slab, then I used the router to flatten it out. Then a little BLO to finish it.

Scott that must have taken a bit of time with the Japanese saw. Was it long enough to cut all the way through.

Hawaiilad, the saw wasn’t long enough so I just sawed on both sides of the log. It is very sharp so it didn’t take very long. I was hoping with a pull saw that it would cut perfectly straight but it didn’t, there was a bow in the middle so it got more difficult to pull it after awhile. Maybe I needed to cut at a slower pace.
