Not the best images I admit, but most items have been given away so I can’t re-take the pictures. Nevertheless, they demonstrate some more gifts that can be made from smallish bits of wood. The art-deco style clock is made up from strips of cherry and ash. The ‘rotten’ pear is made from pear wood.

well srewart you finally dissapointed me !!! i figured a guy who does work like you do would have hand carved a few teeny weeny fruit flies to sit on the edge of the bowl !! lol just kiddin your still a ledgend in my mind . great work stewart . i love the rotten pear . what was the old saying about one rotten apple ?? well anyways whatever it was it was usually aimed at me ! lol

Jockmike2 Yes all lathe work; well, pics 1 and 2 anyhow! Here’s another fruit bowl. The banana was a real challenge on the lathe <g>

Just wondering, are some of these stained or did you manage to find woods that were naturally those colors? Very cool. And nice work too.
