So my mom passed away back in 2004, she was quite the seamstress. I had some wood from a piece of furniture of hers, so I made some seam rippers for my sister, 94 year old aunt (mom’s sister who still sees), and a few cousins. So hopefully a nice thing for the sewers in the family and they can think of my mom.

Very nicely made Tools!

Whenever I see a seamripper, I remember my mother. She passed away too some years ago beig over 90 years old. When she was younger, she was a self taught “hobby”-tailor and started that because the lack of money. She really liked sewing. But she was extremely self critical and so the seamripper was the most used tool.

To your and my mom – RIP!
