I have been planning for some craft shows and wanted to build a set of display shelves that would be easily built, easy to move and set up and modular in design. This is what I came up with…All the pieces are interchangable and stackable. They are all made from melamine shevling and are capped with 4/4 x 2 1/2” cypress that is dadoed 1/2” to cover the edges and add rigidity since melamine wil otherwise easily bend. I can stand on the shelf and it will not flex. I an definitely not a fan of this melamine but I like the fact that the white color makes the wood projects that it will display stand out much better than a wood-on-wood display. I built 3 shelf sections that are each 96’x56”x12” and can form numerous configurations.

I replaced these with several updated and improved display shelves a few years ago..
