Deluxe Coping Sled

I was inspired by rimfire7981 with his coping sled. This sled features an angled ergonomic handle that directs the sled tight against the fence, as well as forward. The floor of the sled is covered with 220 grit sandpaper to help keep the material from sliding around. My previous sled used laminate flooring for the base, but when the clamps were applied, I noticed that the base bowed slightly, giving me a less than satisfactory cope joint. This base was a big improvement.

Thanks. I have been quite pleased with the final results. The one possibile addition that I may consider down the road is to add a guide strip of wood on the plexiglass edge to reduce the potential for it to wear a groove in my router table fence.

Thanks Tony. It is mounted with a sliding dovetail joint and I found that the angle really helps make the coping process a smooth operation.
