I have 2 little girls and the 3of us decided to do something nice for Mom this past year. We all sat down with all of th eissue I have of Wood Magazine and found a project we could make for Mother’s Day.

Took about 3 weeks to do out in the shop. The reason it took so long was it was tough to get time out there with both the girls and not raise too much suspicion from their mother. The girls are 4 and 8 btw and all they did was hold pieces and some sanding. Shop time it shop time with the little ones though.

Back to the project, we made it out of walnut like the plans called for, however the 8 year old came up with the idea to add the maple fronts to the drawers and the ring bar for accent. She has quite a flair for design I think.

Let mw know what you all think.

Beautiful jewelry box. Your daughters do have flair, as do you. Very nice and skillful job. I love it. Gotta look through my wood mags and find this I’ve gotta make this for the wife. Great job, you three.

Whoops… now what will the little ladies be expecting dad to make them? Ha.

Well done… really like the box and your daughter had great design changes. Mom will be proud, obviously.
