You got nothin' to thank me for buddy! These things are awesome and will be treasured as well as have the hell beat out of 'em for a long time to come. It's hard to imagine getting any 2 hammers that I could find more useful and that I don't already have! And the inlay makes me smile every time I see that sucker ))
Excellent mallets Tony. The finish work gave Kenny something to do besides sitting by the mailbox without his pants on. I'd like to hear more on how you made the ends on the small mallet, especially the brass end.
Fine projects, great story, proves that L-J is a community!
Just a side note-I see all these mallets too pretty to use. I make mine from firewood and use them-NOT PRETTY at all; actually UGLY! That way I do NOT MIND beating things with them when I need to.

I like 'em pretty ralbuck but make no mistake, these will get used just like any ugly beater in my shop ;-) If you ask me a tool that can't be used ain't much good!
I'll second that over the top comment. I might change my name and visit Kenny so that I can steal it from him. I am sure that I can distract him if I have beer with me.

The mallets are incredible and you did a great start for them, Kenny doing a great finish, and agree with Dave - Hope you're feeling as good as those mallets look! Get well soon!
Went to see surgeon today he had lifted some of my restrictions …. now I need to get my butt back into shop and start designing dust collection ….. thanks to all for the well wishes :<))
Tony, I hope you're on the mend. Those mallets turned out great….love them both. Kudos to Kenny for being a stand up guy…proud to be apart of this LJ community!
