FWW Tool Chest

Project by blackcherry posted 716 days ago 2116 views 18 times favorited 30 comments Add to Favorites Watch

This is my latest project and very first project posted on Lumberjocks. I always wanted a storage unit like this but never found the time to make one until I saw this unit published in FFW magazine. Its been such a huge help and time saver when its time to pull tools for a outside job or just working in my small garage shop. The amount of storage is truly amazing!!! The area for the hand-planes is my favorite what a cool idea…a small garage for each with a carpet base. Looking forward to posting some already made project thanks Blkcherry.

Nice work. Does your wife control the key to the padlock? Or do you have to lock yourself out so you will go to bed at night? It’s not quite as full as the one in FWW but I can see you’re working on it. LOL Oh, by the way, welcome to Lumber Jocks!!

Makes me want to tear down some of my pegboard to make room for one of these!

Very nice. That exact project has been on my list for some time now. Now I have a little more inspiration to get it done.

Handy as heck! I built mine into the wall of my shop…I don’t know how I functioned before the wall hung tool cabinet… I bet you’re feeling the same way! Nice work!

That same project is next up on my list, right after I complete the torsion box assembly table. Nice job!
How many sheets of material did you end up using? I’ve been pricing baltic birch- hoowee that stuff has gotten expensive!

A great looking cabinet. Nice job. In my case I’d have more than enough tools to fill it. But, I don’t know if I could find them all.
