Great-model-but-he-dont-talk-much,eat,breath,or-try-to-drink-my-beer.
STYROFOAM-models-are-great.
This-project-was-made-with-basswood.It-carves-easily-but-has-alot-of-feathering.
Have-not-made-up-my-mind-on-the-type-base-yet.

Eli-its-kind-of-hard-to-determine-how-long-it-takes-to-carve-a-piece.
Vern-I-have-three-days-in-at-14hrs.a-day-but-like-all-of-my-carvings-Iam-learning-and-when-I-get-to-certain-stages-I-put-them-on-the-shelve.The-camera-shows-me-alot-of-the-mistakes-and-there-is-alot.
I-study-more-and-determine-what-and-when-it-went-wrong.
As-I-get-more-knowledge-I-have-a-go-at-it-again.Iam-studing-the-differance-between-men-features-and-woman-features.
So-good-old-Vern-my-return-as-a-gal.It-seems-to-make-it-easier-to-catch-mistakes-Iam-making-then-fix-them.
It-may-take-me-awhile-to-grasp-three-D-carving-but-Iam-determined.
Speaking-of-heads-Jim.I-have-a-whole-shelf-full-of-them-now-all-saying-fix-me-next.

Michael, thanks for your reply, I am very pleasantly surprised by the speed of your carving. It is a good idea to improve your sculpture by looking on photos from different angles. What looks correct from front view is not the same as from 30 / 45/ 60 degrees to the right or left. Your process of improving to keep it on the shelf and return to it later is wonderful, because when you work on it all the time you are captured by your imagination and you don’t see what is wrong. When you put it on the shelf for a period of time and come back to it, you look at it more objective.
