Simple Walnut and Hickory Frame. First attempt at inlaying the hickory. Thought the color combination and the hickory grain would be a nice start..

I am getting ready to make my first frame from scratch. I would like to know how you joined the miter cuts together? I am thinking of just using glue but am worried that it won’t be strong enough joint.

Xodus – The frame is 3 3/4” thick so I used pocket holes and covered them up with walnut plugs with a little glue in the miters…
