This is my version of The Woodwhisperer’s pencil holder. The wood is austrailian cypress with QS oak bottom and top. The cypress is from what is left over from my kitchen flooring project. It’s prefinished so i just put the finished side to the outside and rubbed some tung oil finish on the top and bottom.

Nice project Carl – certainly looks like it will hold some pencils and make a nice gift.

Very nice! I may copy/modify your design for some figured ash! It would make a nice present for my brother.

God Bless,

I really like the horizontal lines and how they wrap around the box.

Karson, Mrtrim, Oscorner, Cajunpen, Rikkor, Miss Debbie, Hawg, Grumpy and Blake: Thanks! The possibilities are only limited to the depth of the scrap pile and people really seem to appreciate them. And Mrtrim, I don’t have any pencils in mine either, they’re all lost in my messy shop. lol. thanks again!
